To Andrea, the most satisfying activity is to work with enthusiastic people towards a common goal. The most joyful way to do this is through performance.

Andrea is a Winnipeg-based performer with a broad range of credits on stage, on screen and as a producer. She has been nominated several times for Winnipeg Theatre Awards, and is the 2018 recipient of the Manitoba ACTRA award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Artist in a Feature. As an improviser, she has performed across the country with acclaimed musical improv company, Outside Joke, which Andrea helped found in 2002. Andrea frequently leads improv workshops, both as a member of Outside Joke as as an independent facilitator.

 

Through her work with Outside Joke and internships with several professional theatre companies, Andrea has honed her skills as a producer. She has written multiple successful grant applications, creating performance seasons for Outside Joke and, most recently, a highly successful production of The Threepenny Opera with sick + twisted theatre, a professional theatre company that employs artists with disabilities.

 

Andrea constantly seeks to broaden her artistic activities and deepen her existing skills. She pursues professional development opportunities, advice and coaching from mentors, and new artistic partnerships.
